— Keynote speaker on leadership and AI – leading when forecasts fail
Andy Fitze.
Andy Fitze is a keynote speaker on leadership and AI, based in Forch near Zurich. He connects two worlds where plans regularly collide with reality: the open sea and technology leadership.
As a skipper, he has organised and led 23 expeditions to high latitudes, through the North Atlantic, ice and storms. He is an RYA Yachtmaster Ocean and a member of The Explorers Club in New York.
For more than 25 years he led technology organisations, including as Group CIO of RUAG, and was named TopCIO of the Decade by Confare. He co-founded SwissCognitive, chairs the Swiss IT Leadership Forum and sits on the board of swissICT. He has been named one of Switzerland's Digital Shapers three times.
In his audiovisual keynote "Where the Map Ends. Leading When Forecasts Fail.", he uses his own footage from on board to show how teams prepare for the storm rather than the forecast, and why responsibility can't be handed over to a model or a machine.
Keynotes in English and German.
